Activities you can do to celebrate Independence Day

As the whole country honor and celebrate, what activities do you have lined-up today to take part in the Philippines 124^th Independence Day celebration?

There are so many things that you can do, here we have narrowed down a few ideas for you.

1. Support community activities. There are so many CSR programs around Cebu today, whether it’s a clean-up drive or a tree planting activity, become a volunteer there’s no better way of giving back to the freedom we are enjoying today.
2. Buy Local. A lot of malls and other commercial establishments are having exhibits and fairs that are promoting local products, it would be nice if you can buy and support our local small and medium enterprises.
3. Local food. How about re-introducing yourself to our local dishes? Sure, it would be nice to have some of your favorite Korean or Japanese food but why not dedicate today to having local food like Lechon, Sisig, Kare-kare, Sinigang, and Kakanin for dessert? Or try a new Filipino dish. Eat with the entire family to make it more fun and memorable.
4. Visit a museum. Introduce your kids to items related to Philippine Independence. Your kids will get to learn, and you get to brush up on history as well.
5. Go visit a local job fair. If you are still on a lookout for a job, now is the perfect time. The Department of Labor and Employment are mounting job fairs all over the country as a celebration of Independence Day.
