• Get Ready for the World Travel Expo

The World Travel Expo Cebu is scheduled to take place from August 15 to 17, 2025, at the Ayala Center Cebu, showcasing the region's diverse travel offerings and promoting tourism in the area.

This event marks the third edition of WTE Cebu, featuring 104 booths and over 80 exhibitors—an increase from the previous year's 70 exhibitors. Notable media and sponsor support includes GCash as the inaugural digital payment partner, alongside major sponsors such as Anantara and the Golden Prince Hotel.

Participating exhibitors will present a range of innovative packages and promotions designed to attract a large turnout of visitors. Highlights include significant discounts and exclusive deals, with exhibitors such as WOW Travel Agency focusing on both domestic and international tours, and SmartWay Travel & Tours offering discounted visa services. La Joya Farm plans to provide eco-tourism packages with discounts of up to 60%, while the Golden Prince Hotel & Suites will offer up to 60% off room rates and food services.

Expected discounts for various accommodations range from 20% to 54%, with options such as room vouchers starting at ₱2,500 from Bayfront Hotel and promotional packages from Crimson Resort that include dining and spa experiences. Additionally, early holiday bookings will be available, with some properties offering discounts for early reservations, even during blackout dates.

In promoting local tourism, the Expo aims to showcase attractions in Cebu, while also offering exclusive international packages to destinations such as Hong Kong and Korea. Payment methods will include cash, local bank transfers, and GCash options, facilitating a seamless booking experience.

The event not only celebrates travel and culture but also highlights community collaboration to boost tourism in the Philippines, with voucher validity extending into late 2026. In line with its milestone 10th anniversary in 2026, the Expo has also been expanding its reach, recently conducting events in Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro. The upcoming events will continue to feature Cebu prominently, with plans for additional exhibitions in Makati and Manila later in 2025.

Ms. Miles Caballero expressed gratitude for the support from Cebu, framing the Expo as a significant celebration of travel and culture in the region.
