Binibining Cebu now it's third year

Binibining Cebu this year promises to be a grander event than its
previous editions. The organization continues to provide a platform for young women to express their social issues, talents, and cultural heritage.


In the same fashion as its previous runs, 54 candidates are representing Cebu’s cities and municipalities. These women are participating in tourism initiatives and charity works of the SHS-B Batch 1985 Foundation, Inc. Binibining Cebu was founded by the
SHS-B Batch 1985 Foundation, Inc. and the Bb. Sugbu Charity Foundation, Inc.


New personalities behind the pageant will take the event to greater heights. Ahwel Paz is the pageant’s overall director. He is a multi-awarded ABS-CBN producer and director. He is working hand-in-hand with Val Sandiego. He is a celebrated choreographer and
production manager. He is the man behind Sandiego Dance Company. International designer Kenneth Cobonpue continues to handle stage design and creative direction. Cary Santiago is overseeing the fashion and wardrobe styling. Jojo Bragais is providing the iconic nude platform pageant heels for the contestants. Christopher Munar is providing official accessories and jewelry. The official resort wear is provided by PauLina by Mikee Andrei.


The Presentation of Candidates took place last September 18. On the road to the coronation night, the candidates are participating in charitable activities, social immersions, and training workshops. The most recent activity being Seaking Change. This was an environmental project done in Olango Island.


The Swimwear and Long Gown Competition is on November 13. The event will be at the Mandani Bay Event Tent. The Coronation Night is on January 13. It will be at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. The event is happening on Sinulog week. It is aligned with Cebu’s cultural calendar.
