UCI not considering CAS appeal in Armstrong case: McQuaid

"McQuaid addressed former Armstrong team mate Tyler Hamilton's book, "The Secret Race: Inside the Hidden World of the Tour de France: Doping, Cover-ups and Winning at All Costs", in which the American reiterates a claim that Armstrong had failed a dope test in 2001 but that it was covered up by the UCI.
"There is nothing new. There was no cover up in 2001 and we see no evidence to support such allegation," he said.
McQuaid also asked the USADA to provide the UCI with three Garmin-Barracuda riders' files after their own team manager Jonathan Vaughters hinted this month that they had doped earlier in their careers.
"We need to see if Jonathan Vaughter's accusations have any substance so we can see if we take action against these riders," said McQuaid."

UCI chief questions USADA delay on Armstrong file - Yahoo! Sports

VALKENBURG, Netherlands (AP) -- The chief of world cycling's governing body is questioning why American anti-doping authorities have not sent him the file of evidence that prompted them to erase Lance Armstrong's seven Tour de France titles and ban him for life.
International Cycling Union President Pat McQuaid on Saturday said the United States Anti-Doping Agency had not given the UCI a date to expect the details, and he sounded impatient to receive them.
''UCI assumes that USADA have the file, the full file, as they've already made a decision based on it and therefore it's difficult to understand why it hasn't arrived yet,'' McQuaid said from the Road Cycling World Championships in the southern Netherlands.
Armstrong has long denied doping but chose last month not to fight drug charges by USADA, which wiped out 14 years of his results. USADA believes Armstrong used banned substances as far back as 1996, including EPO, steroids and blood transfusions.

I don't believe any accusations thrown at Lance Armstrong he did not fight it bec he doesn't want to dignify the accusations against him it's that simple.........

USADA to send Armstrong report by October 15

(Reuters) - A much-awaited report on Lance Armstrong's lifetime ban should be sent to cycling's world governing body no later than October 15, a spokesman for the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) said on Wednesday.
"USADA is in the process of finalizing the written reasoned decision in its U.S. Postal Services pro cycling doping case," Annie Skinner said in an email to Reuters.
"We will provide the reasoned decision addressing the lifetime bans and disqualifications imposed to the UCI and WADA as provided for under the world rules. We expect it to be sent no later than October 15."
Armstrong was stripped of his record seven Tour de France wins last month and handed a lifetime ban by the USADA after indicating that he would not challenge charges that he had doped throughout his career. He has always denied doping.
