u will not be able to live on interests alone from your 1M...bisan asa nga bangko nimo e-deposit...most banks can give u 2-2.5% per annum at 1M-1.5M deposit (less pa gyud na sa 20% Wtax)...

to question to address is whether your 1M at 2.5% interest per annum can beat the inflation of the Phil which averaged the last ten years by 7.5%. by that alone, you know you need to invest your money to something that can yield morethan 7.5%... stock market perhaps... 1M is so much when you know how to manage it.. im willing to share more ideas..
