i see. I believe you already have a master plan. Long term plan. A long journey. I would tell you honestly, I like the idea of federalism. But I think you have another thing in mind. You want to have a representative first in congress. That's another motive. My question is, why can't you sell your ideas and thoughts to the current people in position right now. That's why I said in previous posts, "Affiliate", - Connect to the current existing political party instead of building your own. Have you tried? If you have studied this thoroughly and found that this is the real solution, then I believe you'll have the ability to convince or at least try to convince a current congressman. If one throw it away over the window, then go to another one, if majority of them throw it away, most probably, even if you have a seat in congress, still they will throw it away. so what's left for you... people power? we can do it!

But we can't change a person's character overnight. Shall we wait all Filipinos to change their character? It takes a very very long time, thousands of years. Unlike changing the system which will only take 2-3 years.

how would you reform it? you'd have to curb the power of the president to decide the apportionment and make it automatic.. that requires changing the system.

The group already have plans on how to achieve this. Some politicians understand the issue but are hesitant because they have a selfish motive. They have spent much during the election, they need to get it back. When federalism will be implemented, selfish politicians become insignificant. So, we need the people to cry for change in the system. If people power is necessary, then we'll do it. The bottom line here is to implement federalism in the country.

Bitaw, Ako pud naglibog sa statement ni bai Romeojin..

He said "what we need an electoral reform and economic reform without changing our government system." This means you are not in favor of going to Federal system right? But again you said.. "money earn on each region/regions stay on that region and some to the national government." - this can be done only through federal democracy.
Now you are saying you are asking for reform.. May I please know what kind of reform you are refering to?

it is possible but dunno the legal works behind it. legislators can implement/reform the law. seriously do we need to change the system? we can as people in one region block our tax money going to manila

how will selfish pols be insignificant? indonesia is federal, they still have a lot of corruption. you will still have politicians and they will still have control over the tax money. this won't change that at all hahaha... but keep dreamin =P

the best system is not federalism, but anarchy. then i can buy high powered machine guns and kill everyone who pisses me off, especially our politicians hahaha...

I think that's against our current constitution. Because we have a centralized fund which happens by collecting it all first then distribute it to each region but I guess the amount would vary depending on the region's needs.

im not entirely in favor of Federalism, the main concern of people here is the economy. so i suggest we just reform the economy and also add senators to represent us without changing to federalism.

for me federalism will split up the country. ka remember ba mo when Cebu threaten to break away from the Philippines? how about yung Sabah? if we allow FEDERAL DEMOCRACY what will stop them from breaking out from Philippines. im not saying this is would happen but it is probable to happen.

there a lot of things also that needs to be address.
