    - Now this is discrimination within your family mismo. How sad. Hope none of your kids will be homosexual.

No one is created a homosexual, just as no one is created a murderer or rapist. God gave us freedom. If a perosn chooses to engage in homosexuyal acts, then that is his responsibility. Blaming God for it is a cop-out. That's just like blaming God for our sins by claiming that God created us as sinners.

topics like these always precipitate towards the issue of the supposed "rightness" or "wrongness" of homosexuals/bisexuals/transexuals. sad thing is, that is not even the issue most of the time. the issue is prejudice and discrimination.

i believe what is being pushed forward by this bill is the prohibition of discriminatory practices against homosexuals, et.al., in their capacity for being humans. this is not different from the issue of racism, where the moral question of equating the darnkess of one's skin to evil or a degree of distaste is seldom tackled by law. what is given primary importance is the concept of equality under current laws and the individual's basic rights and humanity.

prejudice is the attitude of hate. discrimination on the other hand is prejudice being acted. law cannot punish pejudice, but it can act on discrimination.

Now I am really confused- no one created homosexual. Then the issue is being diverted to a rapist and murderer. Whats the catch?

    what a homophobic comment.

i'm in the bandwagon if this bill would protect homosexuals (gays and lesbians) from discrimination, especially when applying for a job. you can't underestimate a person just because of his/her sexuality. it does not have anything to do with the job. discrimination due to sexuality, gender, race or color is unfounded and is a disappointing display of ignorance.

i reason to believe it's AKBAYAN Rep. Rosales' HB 00634. i think it's a reworked version of HB 02784
(pdf downloadable text of the bill here look for the "hb634_web.pdf" link)

God asked, Do you love yourself,
    I said does it matter,
    God said yes,
I said how can I love myself if I am gay?,
God said because that is the way I made you,
    Nothing will ever matter again.
