Hi, i just found this thread but noticed its been going on a while. If your interested in The Academy for International Culinary Arts (AICA) come visit us at the gallery and we will gladly give you a tour of our campus and give you a run thru of our courses. We just started batch 1 for the cebu branch 1 year diploma course less than 2 weeks ago that is the 8am-12nn monday to thursday class schedule. We will be starting batch 2 on monday june 28 with orientations this friday. As of today june 22 there are still 3 available slots left for this class. Aside from the full diploma course we also have short recreational courses available this July one of which is our 4 session 8 hours a day certificate in the fundamentals of professional asian cooking with Chef Him uy de baron who will be flying in from our manila campus for this short course. We will also be launching an 8 session 8 hour a day certificate in the fundamental of professional Baking and pastry course with and a 16 session 4 hours a day fundamentals of professional cooking course this july
The Academy in manila has been around for 6 years and the positions our graduates hold in the industry speak for themselves. In the manila campus we have 4 full time chef instructors and 8 part time specialists in specific culinary fields and cuisines who we will be bringing down to cebu for specific specialty courses. While our Cebu team is comprised of 2 full time and 6 part time chef Instructors ALL of which studied abroad with a combination of experiences from Australia, Asia, United States and Europe. As part of the Cebu team we have Chef Nikko Mabugat(School Director), Chef Joe Mike Lontoc, Chef Din Canete Grant, Chef Lor Torre, Chef Raki Urbina, Chef Marlene Ong, Chef Jill Uy and Chef Johann Young.

My advise ?
If you can afford then enroll to the culinary schools here in Cebu sa mga medyo high end , premium schools . If not then work your way up by getting taining from TESDA or if naa extra budget sa MOST .
Regardless of where you instructors got their formal education , experience and training .... its your INTERNSHIP that will coutn the most . When you apply for a job , you cant put in your resume that says " CHEF HIM and HER was my instrcutor " .
