Default Intel DH55HC Ram compatibility problem

    Specs
    Motherboard: Intel DH55HC
    Processor: Intel Core i3 - 530
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

    * I can Enter BIOS no problem
    * RAM is detected in BIOS correctly

Problem: When Boot is finished, and Windows Logo appears, BSOD happens. then it restarts, It prompts for Recovery or Start normally, but both options results to BSOD when Windows logo appears

    RAM tried:
    --Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 2X4gb 1866mhz cl9 = OK
    --Corsair Dominator Platinums 2X4gb 1866mhz CL9 = OK
    --Kingston Value RAM 1x8gb 1600mhz cl9 = Not OK
    --Hynix 1x4gb 1600mhz cl11 - Not OK

It seems nga mangita man xag mahalon nga ram.. anybody naa idea unxa nka.cause sa problem? or unxa ang mka.fix ani? thank you daan...

SOLVED: Read Fix/Explanations below, you might learn something new, thanks istorya.net

@butitoy updated bios to latest version,
Will try sa g.ingon ni boss @Echelnalf later..

dili siguro ni ram compatibility issue(assuming all ram are guaranteed working @ stock), basin ram contacts lang na. try lain na slot, same ram, if it helps, reset bios or restore stock. IMHO

@LadYKilleR8520 check this thread bro https://communities.intel.com/message/113779, you have the same problems on the same mobo.

I think it's really with the Memory compatibility issue.

i assume you are using 160bclk for both hynix and kingston rams? if you are on auto, check if the 1600mhz freq is spd or xmp. if spd, it might be forcing the mch at that speed. also check the timings for 1333. loosen them @ 9-9-9-27 ug di pa sila ingana.
troubleshoot only with the hynix. i think the board is really having problems with the 8gb chip especially if one sided ra to because of the chip density. but first check if the hynix runs flawlessly on other rigs.

Salamat kaau sa mga ni.comment, but it's not the voltage, it's not the timing, nor the speed.. its the actual RAM wiring..
Really weird limitation sa board if I might say so.. Aq g.tan.aw ang Tested Memory Configuration sa website sa Intel (great website BTW)

Link: Intel® Desktop Board DH55HC — System memory

Refer to the table right here:

“DS” stands for double-sided memory modules (two rows of SDRAM) and “SS” stands for single-sided memory modules (one row of SDRAM).

    - Basically, the board has a limitation on only accepting up to 2gb per face of a RAM..

Ex. A 4gb stick may have 4gb chips on 1 side of the ram module and a blank side on the other side
or 4gb stick may have 2gb chips on both sides of the ram (2gb on left + 2gb on right side)

So the possible RAM that is accepted by the board is 2gb(any), 1gb(any), 4gb(2 sides have chips)
8gb Ram modules are not supported..

Please take note mga builders nato.. lets share this info kay basin ug naay maglibog ani nga limitation in the future.. several new boards may have this limitation as well.. thank you..

yeah, naa gyud mobo and DIMM compatibility... nag post ko ani sauna (taod2x na) on some threads here... mura'g 3x or 4x ko naka sugat aning mobo... actually, chip set and DIMM compatibility issue in this passion of ours... wla'y labot ang dili gyud compatible ha or ang mem modules na "intended" lang gyud for AMD CPU... naa ni daghan diri sa main land. dili mo dagan ug intel based chip set pero, kun AMD based chip set, sutoy lang agi...

also, on my Asrock H61 DE/SI mobo, tuwingwing pud ni sya kaayo... 4 DIMM slots ni sya... but, kun double sided DIMM ang gamiton, 2 slots ra ang pwede ma populate... slot 0 & 2 or slot 1 & 3... kun puno-on, dili mo dagan ang rig. but kun single sided DIMMs ang gamiton, pwede i-populate and 4 mem slots... max to 16 GB... in my case, chip set limitation ni sya... the H61 chip set is only compatible w/ 2 Double sided DIMMS @ 16 GB max...

bro LK, basin chip set limitation na sya... dili mobo limitation... check the write-up/ white paper on the H55 chip set...duda ko, the same ni sila sa H61 or any entry level chip set from intel per generation... limited functions ning mga lowest mamal chip sets nila... bwehehehehe...

i thought so. my asrock h55 will not accept 8gb also.

tip also to other builders. it does not mean that if there are chips on both sides, it is double sided. other rams like some team and geil have chips on 2 sides but the chips are technically on one circuit/controller only. a lot of value rams are also built this way.
