How to edit the homepage of my website

Hi mga master, ask lang ko kung unsaon pag edit sa homepage sakong website? Like naa lang koy i-add nga text sa Homepage gani. Gi try na nako ug edit using CPanel (Hostgator) didto sa File Manager/Public FTP/Index.php. Diha nako gi edit then saved. But then pag check nako sa akong website kay wala may changes nga nahitabo. Ngano mani mga master? Sayop ba akong gi buhat?

Probably because you saved it as index.PHP ...di ba na dapat index.HTML ?

pa view daw sa imo site TS nya kung nag FTP ka pag copy sa imong website files nya e.edit gamit ang notepad++ ba ron nya blik upload sa imo host gamit ghapun ang FTP....Sir jackdi....pwdi raman index.php....

What happens if naa ang index.html and index.php in the same directory?
Dili ba ang first i-execute is ang .html man?

Kay i actually had the exact problem the other month man gud.
Maong mao na ang ako na-answer sa question ni Boss GroundZero.

Anyway, dili noon jud ko familiar ani kay di man pod ko coder.

ahh i see....sa akoa pud nga side sir jackdi....index.php pud permi akoa gamiton.....pero if ang duha naa sa usa ka same directory i think ang .html ang unahon......anyway ang importante makatabang ta ni TS....

after editing and saving your file on your host server. pwede nmo i.clear imo browser cache then try to reload your site sa imo browser.

usually ang cache content sa imo site ang i.display sa imo browser basta recently nmo gi.open imo site. if nahan kag d i.cache sa imo certain page pwde ka gamit ug <meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache"> element. try nya ....
