Normal temps on a Pentium 4 2.8E (1MB L2, H.T. & 800FSB)

First of all specs:
P4 2.8E
Intel 865GBF Mobo
512mb DDR400 (2x256)
32mb TNT2 M64
60gb Maxtor HDD
ATX Case with 2 Fans0 (1 front & 1 rear)
Enermax (Dual Fan) 350W PSU

My question:

Under Intel's Active Monitor thingy I get a 62 C on the Processor Temp with nothing running!!!

Is that normal for this processor? OR is my cooling setup inadequete?

Any help is deeply appreciated.

same problem sa akong processor P 2.8E .. naay baligya sa ARCTECH

gigabyte G-power cooler GH-PDU21-SC Php. 2,600.00

gigabyte G-power cooler GH-PDU21-MF Php. 2,900.00 with smart fan speed control box

naka palit ko ang usa kana naay controler. it works ang temp nako mga 49 - 52 degrees centrigrade. depende lang sa imong area sa room.

re-mount your heatsink bro... murag init ra man tingali nang 62 idle temps...

yup, re-mount your heatsink but apply new thermal paste... my 3.0 Ghz prescott had same temp as yours and there are times that its already throttling.

i used Zalman STG1 Thermal Paste CPU temp goes down to 56°C on full load, add og additional fans, pasulod og pagawas ang buga sa hangin bay.

aw kang raffy diay na... sa iya man sad ko kapalit sa akong zalman vf900 led... mahal naman tingali kung ang stg1 ra akong paliton, kay mobayad pa tag para paship diri cebu.
