High Temps on your Laptops...

To all Portable users....

I had my laptop for about 3 yrs, it has never let me down, until last month...my brother claims na mi aso daw akong laptop. so i told him not to use it anymore and remove the batt...so i got my laptop back with me. Visual inpection shows no melted/seared part, nor any burnt smell. So I put the batt back, and turned it on....expecting the worst, turns out na mu.boot pa siya...all the way sa windows environment...

....so observation mode, ran SW for temps.. (HW Monitor, Real Temp) and then i realized it was really hot!...max temp i got was 85C! so akong gi try tutukan ug electric fan..same ra gihapon...


so akong gipa bugnaw sa..lisod na (hehehehe)

try nku open sa cover sa likod.. same ra gihapon temp...

(Gana pa man sad ang fan....)
Next step nku..Update BIOS, DL ra nku sa laen pc ang BIOS file, para d kauu dugay naka on ang laptop.....= same temps ra gihapon..

Next Step...TEAR DOWN laptop...then nasakpan nku ang salarin....


3 years worth of DUST...nagbara na diay sa fan exhaust. (in between sa fan ug copper fins) unsaon pag buga sa hangin kung barado na....

Re-assemble laptop...

Ok. na siya max temp @ full load 66C. back to normal siya...at last naa na ko peace of mind..

so tanan laptop users na 2-3 yrs na, check your exhaust vent...

Mao jud. To those who dont care about proper cleaning and periodically check up sa lappy or even PC mao nay mahitabo. Wa lang ta kabalo labi na byaan lang nato cguro sunog jud ta.

nka laptop cooler permi akong lappy. i think na its due to normal use, na accumulate na ang dust.

good idea bro...ako man gud ang "fan" ug exhaust ra ako brushan(sa maabot ra sa brush) it turns out na in between sa fan ug copper fins na accumulate ang abog....
