    Default PC connect to HDTV

bro question nani nko before pero wa man gud nka tabang pa nko. hope somebody could clear my thoughts about this. nahan ko i connect ako CPU ug amo hdtv (trip lang gud). Nahan ko best quality makuha sa result sa amo hdtv because claro au if bati ang quality kay amo tv kay Sony SXRD 60 inches HDTV. mka support bsin sa resolution sa tv ako video card kay Inno3d 7950GX2 ako video card.

ang hdtv kay wla man DVI, it only has HDMI which wla sad HDMI sa akong videocard or wla pasad nagbuhat video card na naa HDMI. Ang card nko kay DVI ra and ang amo HDTV kay VGA(mao ba na term sa analog?) ra sad for PC connections naa sa manual nya. Naa ko DVI converter to analog.

Nindot ba ang picture quality if connect nko DVI(videocard) to HDTV through analog (gamit na converter) or knhanlan jud DVI to DVI para makuha ang HD jd nya. Or same ra ang gawas sa quality nya kay dvi man japon gi convert lang. download ko 1080i na mga movies gud. hihihihi
    Help
Unsa best nko buhaton para makuha nko best quality? bsin naa DVI to HDMI adapter dri (naa sa states kita ko sa net).
    HELP!!!!

ok,... u'v got a few options,..... buy a video card that has a HDMI port for a HTPC,...... but since you have a 7950GX2 i wouldn't wanna down grade your GPU and spend some money on another card,....

the best thing to do is buy a DVI to HDMI adapter (with 24k gold contact connector fopr best result),.... you wont sacrifice any image quality (there both digital)

HDMI is just a single port for digital video and audio,.... (1 wire) thats the advantage,.... instead of DVI and a optical audio cable (2 wires and all digital) or component cables and RCA audio cable (5 wires and not digital)

im doing the samething to,.... i bought a LCD TV to make as my computer monitor,.... it came with DVI and HDMI output.
so i just used DVI since i dont have HDMI on my video card.

at 1st i dont know why i spent 100 bucks on the DVI wire but from it looks,..... im very satisfied,....
    i bought a Monster Cable - Ultra 600 DVI (24k Gold Contacts)

kanang imo gipang download nga hdtv movies is not really putting out HDTV. ang source ra ana ang hdtv. para imo pc maka display ug real HDTV content, kinahanglan imo video card kay HDCP enabled and not just HDCP ready. last time i checked, wala pay video card nga HDCP enabled.
nag try na mi using DVI to HDMI, dili maayu result. i think you're better off with component video at this point.

why isn't the video quality good? what was your TV res and what res was the GPU set on?
i havn't tried using DVI to HDMI,...... but im gonna test it myself and see the difference,.... coz of what you said,....

Well first of all, if your purpose is watching Hidef downloaded videos like 720p to 1080i or 1080P from your PC mu play na cya, these downloaded files are also huge in file size. Most of them are in mkv format pero naa sad avi. Tried playing a 720P video from my PC (smallville episode 619) klaro naayo but chappy cya because dili kaya sa video card just like [DSX] said.

Its not the Cable thats the prob, its the video card. But on ordinary playing of your orniary video files, you should have any problem at all and in playing games as well. Even on mine VGA ra akong gamit

    My setup is:
Gecube X850XT: DVI> Main monitor AOC 19inch LCD
    VGA> Sony BRAVIA 42inch LCD.

Ang akong gi plug sa HDMI is the HELIOS upscaling HDMI HD DVD player (directly to TV, and optical out to the amp)

MG35 Connected to the component 1 of the amp while amp comopnent out to Bravias' video 1 input.
MG35 also connected to the home network for file trasfering newly downloaded files.

In short, I can watch videos from the mediagate or directly from the PC.
