ehhh just felt like discussing this..
and the ones on top of my head..
- the main protagonist is everybody's errand boy/girl
- a friend will eventually become your enemy and vice versa
- sharp weapons; a lot of them
- somebody wants revenge
- somebody wants to become strong/the best
- something must be burned
- finding small keys to open huge doors
- SWITCHES! everybody loves switches
- a long-ass tower; usually at the end of the game
- and of course along with flying ships; seafaring
