Best remedy againts ticks, fleas and mites? Help please...

I got 4 dogs and I have gotten really busy with work as of late so I have now less time to remove their ticks.
It was easier when I had a lot of spare time back then.
I also heard that removing ticks is useless and the only way to fight them is to sanitize their breeding places amongst cracks and crevices where your dog frequently rest.

I need help! I have heard about Asuntol and Frontline but I have limited info on them.

Are they safe for indoor use? For other pets (avian)? Price? How to apply the product? Where I might be able to purchase one?

What is the most effective way in controlling these pests? Cleanliness is a very big issue for me as well as for my dogs and it irritates me a lot to feel some ticks when I caress their fur.

Thank you so much for the tips guys. I'am inclining to go with Frontline but I'am still open to the suggestions of others. I usually do all the immunizations myself. I just buy the vaccines and inject them.

My dogs have a few red ticks here and there but nothing serious so going to the vet for that 450 injection is out of the equation hehehe. How about destroying the eggs or breeding places of fleas and ticks? What can you suggest? Can Zonrox suffice?
