Using 2 gateways on WinXP client PC?

Need the Help of our Network Geek Here.
Default Gateways :
Email : 192.168.10.1
Globe : 192.16810.2
Smart : 192.168.10.3
(using win xp pro)
We had this conventional way of changing our Default Gateways every time we are using email and application that runs on the specific gateways written above.

I find it very awkward and time consuming. What i did was putting this 3 gateways under advance settings of the TCPIP properties.

Well it worked. But Dli ko ka connect if i used both application under different gateways. And sometimes it will take time to connect .

-Am i doing the right thing here?
-My question is how does this metric system works?
-How does the OS route the gateways back and forth?

Not sure what kind of router we are using. wala ko kasud sa server room heheheh.
