Default Golden Retriever, brown spots on the nose question

it is our first time to own a golden retriever(6 months na sya now). with pedigree siya, very good lineage if to be based on the pedigree. however being a first time GR owner wala mi alamag sa breed standards of GR's.

iya nose sa may base side(opposite of the tip) naa brown spots. its not white as white a sign of albinism, just want to ask if on conformation to the breed standard of GR; is this light brown markings on the nose is a fault, serious fault, undesirable or what?

Nose black or brownish black, though fading to a lighter shade in cold weather not serious.
as stated here: American Kennel Club - Golden Retriever

will take pic for more clarification nya.

    thanks for your time.

hey g, di man tingali na serious and may probably go back to normal black in time.

I don't think that would fall under the snow nose, since wala man ta snow. But anyhow, Here's an article that shares some remedy in how to bring back pigment from their nose

Kung mag show ka, drawingi na lang ug permanent pentel pen ang ilong. hehe! Di bitaw, in the dog show world-- people really do cover up those little imperfections of their dogs by using their own tricks. It's not a serious flaw, but syempre sa dog show ganahan gyud ka "perfect" and looking their best ang mga dogs because its highly competitive. So they each have their own trade secrets ex use volumizing sprays to hide a weak topline, use white chalks, highlights to add more depth to the color of their dogs, shine boosters para mas immaculately flowy ang hair. They use whiteners for the whites, brighteners for the browns/red/golden and darkening agent para sa black hair. Iya-iyaha na na mga secreto

wholla, was abuot to pm you about this thread and give your two cents ehehhehe.

gie, thanks for the link. dili man sad tingali snow nose kay pirmi man arawan iya nose. i do see this quite common with labradors nga fading ang nose and not deep black then lightening sa base.

about sa show, yes agree with what you've said. different tricks and "magic". pero for me personally i rather have my dog "as is" naturally. kay ako ra sad kaugalingon ang akong gi ilad kon mag hucos pocus ko sa akong dog just to make him/her a "winner". kung pildi, pildi gyud. kung daog, daog gyud without hocus pocus.

mao ako na ask sa experienced GR owners and breeders this question so at least if ever mo reach ako GR in the right age of breeding; i know what are his faults, if there are any. if its a serious fault to the standard then i probably keep him into "selective" breeding and keep aware thats possible "pet qualities" ang produce niya.

    thanks gie for the insights.
