MECHANICS

1. The contest is open to all young people, ages 12 to 18 years old, in or out of school, residing in Cebu or the nearby regions.
2. Each contestant must show proof of his/her age, by showing birth certificate, and any one of the following:
- a valid school identification (ID) card, with photograph
- any other ID card with photograph
- If without a school ID, a barangay certification should be presented stating the age of the contestant.
3. Qualified contestants must pre-register using the attached Pre-Registration Form, until June 24, 2011, to any of the following contact details:

Only the first 30 contestants, on a first-come, first-served basis will be eligible to join the contest.
4. The theme of the contest is: “Forests: Nature at Your Service.”
5. The organizers will provide a drawing pad (roughly measuring 15” x 20”) for the contest.
Sheets of bond paper will be provided to the contestants for sketching or drafting. All other materials must be brought by the individual contestant.
6. Materials allowed for poster-making to be brought and used by the individual contestants are:
- pencil - colored pencils - crayons - acrylic paints - markers – color pastel
- pens - oil paints - ink - water color - poster color - craypas
7. Computer-generated artworks are not allowed. Three dimensional mixed media will not be allowed.
8. All artworks must be done only on the spot, and must be completed within the allotted time of two hours.
9. All entries will be pre-numbered. No signatures, names, or other identifying marks should appear at either side of the material of the entry.
10. Criteria for judging shall be:
Creativity and presentation - 50%
Originality - 30%
Relevance to the theme - 20%
11. The entries shall be judged by a Board of Judges, composed of artists and experts on the environment, and health concerns.
12. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and unappealable. Any administrative or technical problems that may arise during the contest shall be resolved by the organizers, whose decision, moreover, shall be final and unappealable.
13. The prizes, shall be:
First Prize - Php 2,500.00
Second Prize - Php 2, 000.00
Third Prize - Php 1, 500.00

14. Winning and other entries shall become the properties of Crocolandia and may be used for its continuing advocacy campaigns on Nature and Wildlife Conservation.
