    Default installing CPU - question

mga tech gurus, naa ko question. i need to transfer an intel 478 CPU to another board (since kamatyonon na ang board).
My question is i havent tried installing a CPU before, do we just plug and play it? or do we go to a procedure na we apply some
amount of thermal glue before installing it? if i need to apply some glue. what are the brands that you suggest (kana makaya ra ha.. d man sd ni gaming pc)

    please advice! ty!

Socket 475, you need to do it with Z.I.F - Zero Insertion Force.
