memory question

ive read some faqs about correct memory timings / ratio 1:1 but i dont exactly get it, all i knw is that it boosts ur pc performance, my question is how can i obtain a ratio 1:1 i mean a good memory ratio whatever u call it. does it RAM brand related? or is it cmos/mobo tweak rel coz i found out my mobo had this FSB - Memory ratio option. waiting for ur techie comments out there.. thnx :mrgreen:

asus p5n-mx mobo nvidia geforce 7050 nforce 610i chipset
1 gig kingston ddr2 800 (single channel)

*sorry doesnt have a high-powered specs/mobo with the likes of u guys.

This is a overclocking article but it explains memory ratios at a very good detail, read carefully the post and refer to his link bellow in regards to w/c memory ratio is really better.
