I think they replace within 7days from purchase BUT you have to have a problem report created by Samsung nga factory defect jud ang problema sa unit. The same happened to me pero Nokia lang to ako. What you do is go to the nearest Samsung service center to open a problem report and go back to the Store where you bought it for RMA. I think this is the process they have in place for all cellshops but I could never know more.

the sales dude told me nga dili sila mo replace, parts and labor lang... i told him clearly nga "boss what if naa defect nga wala pay 7 days, naa replacement?" he told me no, no replacement, free repair and labor only, thats the new rules, we need report from samsung first before we honor the warranty fo repairs"
mayta lagi nga same ang mga tindahan sa save and earn kay naka experience ko naa problem ang phone nako, way daghan storya, replace daun... 2-3days palng ako phone... wala sila daghan yaw-yaw... excellent customer service gyud/...
