HELP: VOIP connection problem

ani ni sya bro... if im using my internet sa pc, my vonage adapter cant get an IP address (port 1 for my pc - port 2 for my vonage apadpter)... so kng mo gamit ko sa akng vonage dapat nko i disable ang internet nko sa PC pero naa ra ghapon sa port 2 ang line nko sa vonage.. no need nga i balhin pa. so in short one at a time ra gyud akng ma gamit.

Usrolla.. i hv a customer same 2 u hv a VONAGE KIT, BUT we don't hv a problem n terms n connections tru INTERNET and VOIP akong g buhat ill buy a SWITCH HUB 4 ports bcus dhv Desktop PC and Laptop, an together w/ hr VOIP may b try dis connections ok, an possible u connect both internet n VOIP

swictch hub?? i think buy na lng ka router bro..it also acts as a switch hub the 4 extra ports are for LAN (local area network) and the 1st port connect to your modem.. good to go na ka ana..

bro, it seems to me that you have only 1 IP that is provided by your ISP. myDSl 999 plan is for single user only. You can't then do simultaneous Vonage and internet. Vonage phone needs ip add. Internet (PC) needs also IP add. Even if you use hub/switch, still you lack 1 more IP add.

Better try ask 1 more ip from your isp.

ayaw na labara imong ulo, router ra ang solution ana, usa ka IP address ra gyud ang gi allow sa PLDT ana, hehehe humana ko ana bro nag lalis pa me sa technical support sa taga PLDT, , but di ko sure kong gi restrict ba gyud na nila nga isa ra or sa configuration lang nah sa ilang router/modem, wala pa sad ko ka suway og hack anang ilang modem/router

or na-a kay lain option ana bro i dont know if applicable ba neh sa imong plan nga mag pa puno ka og ip address,

pero kong mag palit ka og router mas maka bintaha ka kay one time ra man imong gasto, kay sa mag pa add ka og ip address mo dako napod imong monthly sa imong DSL,

na-a pa jud lain option e research na unsa-on pag hack anang ilang config sa PLDT modem/router, kana murag do-ol nalang nah sa kasulbaran..

actually thats true bro.. usa ra jud ang IP address... pero from other forums nka basa ko nga naa cla gi buhat nga na share ra nila sa mga ports... pero dli man gud ko techie nga person so wa ghapon ko mka sabot sa procedure.... nya ga libog pod ko ky lain2x ila paagi sa pag share.. so if i buy a new router plug n play nlang na? i mean diretso nko na plug tanan then good to go na? TIA

you need to configure it pa gyud bro, pero basic ra ka ayo ang config...once you have the router much better kay pede ra ka namo tabangan deri....

but if ganahan ka og one time installation charge na-a man daghan mga techie person deri libreha lang og beer pag human og set-up

I also have VONAGE here at home.. Before kay we have packet8 pero we gave it to my grandparents in Davao.

My internet connection is Smartbro, no problems so far using the internet and VOIP at the same time..

I was contemplating on transferring to PLDT para maka minus sa gastos kay two-in-one man diba? internet and landline for P999..

Reading the posts here, basin dili nalang cguro ko mu transfer sa PLDT and stick with SmartBro nalang..

But I have a question again, my grandparents' connection in Davao is PLDT MyDSL (Plan 999) and so far they don't have any problem with using the internet and VOIP at the same time...

Ngano kaha ni with regards to usrolla's problem?

ang ako bro plan 999 ky internet lng bro... naa nko existing landline. na confirm na nko bro nga ang modem/router nga PL-DSL1 ky dli mo share ug IP sa tanan port nya.. usa ra jud ang IP nga ma hatag so mao ng kng knsa lng una mka gamit mao ma hatagan ug internet. murag wa na jud lain option except mag kuha ko ug router/ switch hub. gasto napod
