SImple ra kaayo ang pag SOLVE sa CASE :

Philippines have the capabilities law enforcement wise ie NBI to submit the alleged ALLEGED RAPE VICTIM to a medico legal testing to prove any actual RAPE that occured . - she was dropped off half naked somewhere in the vicinity but turned out na gi drop diay sa bar where they all met together with the Marines .
- reports claiming the driver was a witness when for a fact accoring to the driver , how can 1 be a witness when you didnt notice a crime .

and so as not to make it outrightly subjective, what the heck are those jar heads doing in that establishment too? did they go through all the way from foreign shores for military exercises? or perhaps they wanted just get a glimpse of Filipina beauty and a doze of their sheer hospitality?

one thing that we should realize, and i believe most of us could somehow relate to is, there will always be times when even people who came from a middle-class family, finished college, and the daughter of a former military man or even those who hard core moralist and religious once gets to experience going to places like than.. we may not be doing it right now, but i'm pretty sure we'll get to experience it one of these days (for those who haven't)

who in world have not experienced flirting? with how influencing factors have molded our society, flirting, drinking, messing around are unfortunately considered as part of norms already.. we don't stereotype people who goes to bars, nor those who screwed and are being screwed outside the context of marriage as 'immortals', in the same way elders do during their time.. this can be contributing to adding 'sexual ambiguity,' which is nothing new..

however, in my opinion, it does not excuse rape or make it less than a crime. and i believe she deserves the benefit of the doubt.. whatever are her initial intentions or perhaps underlying ones and whatever prompted her to go with them.. that we will only know if she well talk about it..

as for due process.. i think, government has fairly given what is due to them.. the presence of diplomatic exchanges is one good indication..Â* u.s could provide 'high-end' lawyers to defend them and they are also aware that the case has to be adjudicated within a year before the Philippines loses jurisdiction.. such diplomatic exchanges buffered by inefficiencies by entities concern might make most likely lead to it..

- if they were in the right mind being minors , why should they be in that establishment in the first place ?

- if they were in the right minds na na RAPE gyud diay , they should have went straight to the police station and not till the mother of the 12 year old girl finds about it .

- In short ang mama ang ni kiha ug STATUTORY RAPE and dili ang bata because of her age . Why ? Kay wala lage mo reklamo ang bata sa nahitabo , she even accepted 500 PHp from him .

rape, unlike any other crimes, purports to be detrimental on the part of the victim.. on top of the incident, victims are more likely to be pinned down further, burden of proof is somehow on the side of the victims, and not the culprit.. which, i believe, is big reason why victims have that much apprehension of taking necessary actions..Â*

as for minors, you can't really expect minors to act accordingly on it, they are not yet capable of coming up with sensible decisions.. the law even generally renders any simple contract or undertaking with them invalid.. they're basically legally and emotionally unemancipated..
