But a hot air balloon festival would need a really, really large area with unobstructed airspace. The best choice for the venue would have to be Clark Freeport Zone, since it used to be an airbase. And I think there are a lot of enthusiasts in Cebu. After all, there are a number of aeronautical schools in Cebu.

But hey, I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that one day, Cebu might host an event like this.

have nice trip ninyu...i'll get back on you after the trip to ask some info's especially on the transpo from airport to clark & good near hotel to stay, if God permits wont really miss it next year...and pictures of course.

@peakdot: Sure, I'll post info regarding the trip. But I'll be traveling from Cubao, not from the airport. Anyway, I think there are also buses traveling from Pasay to Angeles.

@benush: Here's a list of cheap hotels in the Balibago area. Most of them are within walking distance to SM Clarkfield. From SM Clarkfield, you can take a jeepney to the event venue.
