Never Give Up!
salamat bro, i wont call it giving up nor surrender. this is how it looks to me: it is like a game of chess and it is a losing game actually. however, life is more complex than chess. i can not just resign and play another game. life has to go on, bahala na. as long as i am not surrendering. i lose, but i end this fighting to move on.
@tophat:
you know what's the good thing about failing? it's because you've got no other way to go but up. you only have two choices, stay down and give in to your feelings or fight and bounce back. life could be harsh if we don't give our all out. remember that you can learn more in failing and defeat than in winning and success. you can never be successful if you don't fail.
just a rough statistic. i have read in a book that more than 95% of successful people have at least experienced major setbacks at some point in their lives (whether it's in business, family, career, or anything else). the other 5% were just blessed either they had a brilliant mind or an affluent family. how did they rise? they just simply didn't quit and diverted their setback into a stepping stone towards success.
in life, only the strong survives. notice one characteristic that is common in successful people, they've got confidence in themselves (they believe in themselves no matter what the circumstances are), and they simply don't quit not until they get what they want. develop that hungry attitude. learn new things (the more you know, the more opportunities would come your way), make new friends (they can be good contacts and source of opportunities later on), and strengthen your inner self (you can never do all those things without a good character).
remember, failures are temporary and they become permanent only if you let them do.
