It's not really killing the ego or personality but rather subduing it. You cannot kill the ego because it's part of the lower self! You can only tame and transform it! Just like taming the tiger or the demon within you!

it's just a metaphor sir. no actual killing included. it's just like destroying your ego or swallowing your pride, so to speak.
