...The Four Noble Truths (Aryasatya) are the truths that proclaimed dukha and its cessation. The Buddha expounded them in his first sermon delivered to his five former companions at the deer park near Sarnath. This sermon is called the "Setting in Motion of the Wheel of Dharma (Truth)".. The First Noble Truth is the Truth of Dukha (Suffering). That everything is dukha: birth, ageing, sickness, death, parting, unfullfilled desires, decay, etc..The second is the origin of dukha. This pertains that dukha arises from craving (trishna) from sensual pleasure, for having less or for having more, for existence and for self-annihilation...The third is the cessation of dukha.
