I got two master drives, IDE and SATA: is this okay?

ahh ok, understood.. nothing to worry, nothing to change right? refresh lang ha, my os is at the sata HDD, which i set to be my primary, the other IDE HDD is also at a master and the optical is its slave... i only have to make teh optical drive as the frst boot sequence followed by sata HDD and dats it...

yup, that's it. wala man gud ka ingon nga gi transfer pud diay nimo imo OS sa sata. i thought 2nd drive lang siya as data. anyways, u'r good to go.

Boot device priority <---Mostly mao ni!

1st boot > Optical Drive
2nd boot > SATA HDD
3rd boot > IDE HDD

sir, ngano man imo first boot priority ang optical drive?
how about if i-set nimo first priority boot ang SATA HDD para d na cya mo boot from cd kay usually man gud kung nakalimtan nimo ug kuha ang non-bootable nga cd, d cya kasulod sa windows,,

Mao na ang usually default, its up to you if sata imong i first boot or the HDD then ipa ulahi ang optical. For me I use to do that coz permi nako gamit ang optical drive. Ako jud na kuhaon ang CD sa optical drive coz naa possibility nga mag cge cya andar bisan wala gamita.

BIOS recognizes sata drive as Master HDD 3.4.5.6. etc.. ( in this case the mobo have 2 ide ata100 slots and 4 sata150 slots )

ill check it tonyt sa ako i865GV mobo.. to expound this..

Primary Master : EIDE 40GB Seagate 7200.7 ( configures as OS Disk )
Primary Slave : EIDE 250GB Maxtor 7200

Master 3 : SATA1 80GB seagate 7200.10
Master 4 : SATAII 160GB seagate 7200.11

kanang mag lain-lain ang drive letters, walay problema na, adto sa disk management and reassign/rearrange the drive letters as u like.

bisag mag lain2 pa ang drive letters k rmn jpon dba. it doesn't affect the performance of the HDD...
