guys, i just bought a seagate HDD sata and installed it on my system as an additional to my other IDE HDD. Now, here's the situation, bios recognized my drive but i have now 2 master drives which is the sata and the IDE. i' just wonderin if it's ok or ders something to change inorder dat only the sata is my master drive. the IDE HDD is paired with CDRW. any suggestions?

Ang sata bro lahi na cla ug method pag transmit sa data also the IDE, SATA has higher bandwidth than IDE. The SATA is always recognize as 1, 2, 3, 4 etc..mao na mahimo nanang RAID. Ang IDE limited ra kaayo coz it has only PM-Primary Master, SM-Secondary Master, PS-Primary Slave, SS-Secondary Slave.
So, if you have 1 SATA HDD, and 1 IDE HDD you dont need to worry as long as the SATA HDD is connected to SATA1, and your 1 HDD IDE is connected to PM-Primary master which is correct. The PS and SS are meant for optical drives. Otherwise wrong configuration will not be detected.
Btw, set your IDE HDD jumper into master and so as to your optical drives.

so ok ra to bro nga in ato lng to xa? well, ala mn to raid akng board, nka ide mode mn guro to ang sta hdd nko zoc nka butang mn nga SM to nya PM ang IDE HDD, ge bali nko ge himo nko nga PM ang sata ug SM ang usa.. other thing, ang jumper sa IDE nko master lng gihapon to xa?

there was nothing to change when u installed ur sata drive to ur system. data ra man kaha na na drive, right? sakto ang gi sulti ni yugi. ang e change f it will really matter is the boot sequence in the bios.
if ur ide hdd & cdrw is sharing the same ide cable then set the hardware correspondingly. hdd> master,PM; cdrw> slave, PS. & if the cdrw is on its own ide cable then> master, SM. again, in sata there's no master or slave. boot sequence ang e change f needed. i hope that helps.

meaining ang boot drive no is the sata drive? ge in ani mn nko, frst boot drive is the sata then ang cdrw.

Boot device priority <---Mostly mao ni!
1st boot > Optical Drive
2nd boot > SATA HDD
3rd boot > IDE HDD

ahh ok... e change lng nko but ang mo appear sa HDD ang sata rman.. 3 choices ra available.. its the optical drive, the sata HDD and the floppy. disabled ang usa kay ala mn ko floppy.. sata HDD and optical drive ra ang boot sequence nko...
?

Set the jumper PM IDE HDD to master k.
