There is not much debate on which version to look for.
Most denomination don't really consider the versions. Let alone study the history, background, translations and translators of these versions. Most are told by their pastors or church leaders on what to use.
The KJV is the oldest translation the most original and authentic version of the Bible.
Others versions clearly there are omissions and changes because they have reasons behind it.
The early Catholic church is largely responsible for omitting and changing the word in the Bible.
New Age churches to fit their agenda of relegating the divinity of Christ to suit or "fit in" with other paganistic doctrines making Christ more equal to hindu gods, or other religions of Paganistic origin.
there are other reasons for changing the Bible so that this will give them more reasons for the church leaders to extort money, any personal purposes or for financial or political gain for power ect.
The kjv was translated with the highest intention to preserve the original word to be the closest as we can humanly be to the word of God. We need to also consider the translators, clearly distinguished linguist scholars like Martin Luther, William Tyndale, and Myles Coverdale. The KJV was also an outstanding undertaking to translate the Bible by a team of 50 protestant linguist scholars composed of Church of England and Puritans Led by King James I, to produce highest quality in the preservation and quality of words.
I have posted earlier about how the Bible was changed this will be helpful for more insight.
