we are in the same situation, ako naa koy offer na daku kaayu but naka bond ko sa company for two years,
i choose to honor the bond, sayang imo gi build na trust and relationship for 10 years sa company and imo ra i AWOL.

your options
1. since daku sweldo imo misis, consider paying the bond BUT negotiate that it should be pro-rated, the law is on your side if incase dli cla mosugot na pro-rated imo contract.

2. Pay the bond in installment basis.

3. read and re-read your contract and ask lawyer for help for you to escape your contract, mas lisud ni na part since you are putting tension sa imo relationship with the company. There might be a technicality that you can use to get out of the contract.

4. honor the bond and let your wife and child go there first, enjoy your temporary freedom, it is not that hard if you imagine.


Always remember, not to burn the bridge on any relationship specially with the company you have worked for 10 years, timan.i, a company is composed of managers and HRs, and they have connections too, if mobalik ka dri sa Pinas, imo name pd ang ma daot ana. those managers knows some other managers in the industry, those HRs knows other HRs in the industry,
whether its a valid or not reason, an AWOL is bad for your record.
Plus your new company might need info from your old company that means you need to contact them to get it.
