this is true gyud... for rendering efficiency, CPU's raw power is needed. pero, naa'y nakalimtan sa discussion... if the user want's fast rig for rendering, then use the GPU that's intended for this application... like Nvidia's Quadro or AMD's Fire series... ayaw lang reclamo sa price sa aning mga workstation GPUs kay they are intended for this type of professional appllication...

if kana imo investment for a GPU bos para rendering, kinahanglan daghan or bigatin gyud imo mga clients kay dugay gyu ang ROI ani hehehe

^ korek gyud bro... maayo lang ni kun corporate/company ang mo gasto. if personal business, aguy, sakit2x gyud... ops, "sakit2x gyud" is an under statement... ang sakto kay... "pwerteng gyu'ng sakita"... hehehe

yayay labas...if mag workstation GPUs ka, d sad maau mag gaming

    ^ korek gyud ni bro...

for personal gaming and rendering rig, an i7-3770k (set-up would be OC'ed) paired with a GTX 680 (factory OC... plus manual OC over ride) on SLI... is the best set-up so far for a personal spent system... sakit2x ni sya'g price but, the user will be hitting 2 birds in a single stone... and will be smiling all the way... wala labot lang ang electricity bill kay for sure, mo saka gyud sa ani na set-up...

for a budget rig, an i3 (either SB or IB) or AMD's equivalent offering (ma gamit ang multi-cores sa FX CPUs na gyud ani na apps)... paired with a mid level Nvidia or AMD GPU would do the job as well... but rendering apps prefers more the Nvidia's offering on GPU's side... (please correct me if i'm wrong on this statement)... for "gaming & rendering" purposes... 16GB system mem must be the minimum requirement though... no worries, barato ra ram modules ron...
