CAD Forum - How to use CUDA GPU to accelerate rendering in 3ds Max?
i have to disagree. rendering requires cpu power, gpu might help but most if not about 85% of the workload will be on the cpu maong gi manufacture ang mga workstation/server processors sa intel kay 10cores and 20 hyper threads sa nya sa amd kay 16 cores. mao bitaw ng hollywood nay usa ka warehouse para mag render sa ilang mga salida. grabe kau na ka intensive ang rendering mas intensive pana sa gaming about 100x cguro kung compare nimo or subra pa.

it's called RENDER FARM.
it's usually POST PRODUCTION > 3d manipulation | matt painting | compositing etc.
here's a good magazine for that : Asia Image Magazine, Free Subscription - Asiaing.com: Free eBooks, Free Magazines, Free Magazine Subscriptions
it's a good read.the magazine actually inspired me about PC Hardware and Software things
This is my render farm with I7 3770.Mini render farm actually since I don't have the dough for 100 workstations. The I7 3770 is great. I'm getting only 40 watts on idle and 112 watts on load. Compare that to my previous farm of quad q6600 which is Idle 75-80 watts, load 130-140 watts.
