bitaw oi, we're not born with religion rather, we grew up with it. as we grow, we encounter a lot of things that might affect/influence our perception, principle, and insight about how things are working in this life so we switch and opt with other beliefs that would define our outlook in life. other times, we opt to not belong to anything at all as these beliefs don't fall on your category of beliefs. to each his own.

If ill change my religion, that is because the one that I love has another religion. And I would be more willing to give up my religion for him. Usa pa, it doesnt matter what religion ka na belong, as long as you believe in God and His teachings.

    Assalamualiakum (peace be upon you)

I converted to Islam over 2 weeks ago. Half the reason is due to the fact that I fell in love with a Muslim man and the other half is coz I fell in love with Islam - it's simplicity and beauty.

Breaking it to my parents was the hardest part. There were tears, even from my dad and he was the one who said that it doesn't matter what religion you have, so long as you have a good heart.

I knew it was gonna be hard coz they had been influenced by the bad things that have happened and so they had associated them with Islam. But when they met my fiance's parents (true Muslims) they were comforted and assured that "everything will be beautiful". My mum was so glad to hear my fiance's mum say "we believe in Jesus (pbuh) too, we love Jesus".

My brother is Atheist and he's easy to talk to about my new religion and he's always asking questions So our fam consists of: 2 Catholics, 1 Muslimah and 1 Atheist.
