Location: Calbiga Caves Protected Landscape (CCPL)
Calbiga, Samar, Philippines
Measurement : 2, 968 hectares (12 interconnecting chambers)
Rank: So far, the biggest karsts cave in Southeast Asia, if not in the whole
continent, according to 1987 Australian-French Caver’s survey.
Hardness : Major Activity, Level 3, Moderate Caving
Jump Off Points : Brgy. Panayuran, & Brgy. Mapaso, Calbiga, Samar
Normal Days Required : 7 straight days to explore every corner (sumps excluded)
For this particular TRIP : 4 days & 3 nights inside the cave (plus 1 day travel time outside)
Distinct Characteristics : Hilly karsts landscape with steep slopes, caves and impermeable rock
formations, mix horizontal and vertical wet and dry passages
Features: Huge stalagmites & stalactites, giant columns, underground
watercourses, rapids, blindfish, snakes and dancing bats are
also present in the area.

bro, naa part in the cave - in bitong mahangin chamber or called by us as snake chambers... meron talaga snake that frequent in this chamber. Another name of this chamber is "bottled entry" chamber wherein you will rappel like inside the standing bottle, then once inside, crawl on its cave wall - for at least 5 meters tiny hole...

but after that, welcome aboard to another huge chambers. bath tubs-like pools.. ideal for swimming hehehe!

nindot gyud bro, actual caving is one way of a training bro. daghan man mo assist dito bro... anyhow, briefing is given to anyone interested to visit this cave. sad to say, wala kami shop sa cebu, but we have friends there..
