This Friday at 4 p.m., let online sensation all-American group Hey Joe Show tickle your funny bone as they showcase their fluency in the Cebuano language at the Activity Center of Ayala Center Cebu.
“Hey Joe Show” is a brainchild of five Americans – Connor, Jake, Tylan, Davis and Sumner – who, after years of serving as missionaries in the Philippines, wanted to show their love for the country, its people, language and culture through entertaining videos.
The group uploaded their first video, “Amerikanong Bisaya” in October last year where they introduced themselves in Cebuano. Viewers were pleasantly surprised and amused that these foreigners fluently spoke one of the country’s major languages and the video went viral, reaching almost a million views on YouTube and shared numerous times on different social media platforms.
Currently, the group has 15 videos featuring funny skits, from "Signs You Are Filipino" to “Dampa World Championship,” a funny rendition of the traditional rubber band game, plus a growing number of followers in the country.
Back in the Philippines for two weeks, the cast of the Hey Joe Show is excited to meet and entertain their Filipino fans. A series of shows will be held in the cities of Dumaguete, Cebu, Tagbilaran, Cagayan de Oro and Davao.
Catch the Hey Joe Show this Friday for free. The first 25 VIPinoy and Amore cardholders to register will get free meet-and-greet passes. Check out Ayala Center Cebu on Instagram and join the Hey Joe Show video challenge to win exclusive passes.
