The good thing about this burger crave embrace is that we now have a lot of choices, depending on our taste and budget. A few weeks ago, our gastronomy escapades led us to Piazza Elesia, a quaint commercial complex that is slowly becoming the hub of good food choices in Talamban.
We came across a Tex-Mex diner-- Buddies! Here are our notes:

Location: Piazza Elesia, corner Cabancalan, Nasipit, Talamban, Cebu. Upon entry at the Piazza, look to your right and the first restaurant there is Buddies!
Operating Hours: 11am to 10pm daily
Diner Owners: Three Buddies: John Paul “JP” Chiongbian, Blake Go and Nino Bascon
Little Background- all of them are foodies. They try out new places and experiment on cooking their own recipes for their own enjoyment.
Products: They serve burgers, tacos, hotdogs, burritos, quesadillas, cheese steaks, sizzling plates, silogs, chicken, pasta and milk shakes.

With the variety of choices, mine are the following:
As I am a Mexican food lover, the nachos (P85.00) are my favorite. It's oozing with cheese and did not scrimp at all on condiments. The fresh chopped onions sold me out, it adds a little crunch in every bite. Serving size is good for 2-3 people.
The burgers are also good, especially with the less than P100 price it offers (you have options to upgrade and put add-ons. Though not my number 1 favorite in Cebu, it definitely is friendly to my pocket and my hungry tummy (Lowest Price: P89.00. Choices range from P89.00 to P300.00 depending on your add-ons and choices)
Let's admit it. If we mention burger steaks, we instantly think of another diner that has been in the Cebu market for so long. I won't mention the name but I know you know what I mean. With Buddies' Burger steak, I am finally given another option to have the satisfaction of eating a budget-friendly yet tasty burger steak. The vegetables are fresh, the burger patty cooked perfectly with juice once you slice it, plus the gravy is a great complement. Try it out! (Single Burger Steak: P85.00; Double Burger Steak- P140.00)
Another must-try are their tacos (P120.00) and quesadillas (not in pic) (cheese quesadillas- P80.00 and steak quesadillas are at P135.00). The fusion of fresh onions and other condiments are sure to delight your taste buds.
Value for Money: definitely worth it. Prices are reasonable for what you’re eating. Check out their menu and its prices:
Ambiance: The red and white interiors are very appealing to the eyes, reminds me of another diner in the U.S. Piazza Elesia is not that crowded and Buddies’ Corner spot is just perfect in terms of laid back comfort. It has its own clean, comfort room unlike other diners in the Piazza where you have to go to the common CR.
Appealing to the eyes are the diners' fusion of red and white interior colors
The corner spot gives you enough sunlight to play with your shadows in the afternoon but not that humid and glaring for you to transfer spots. Here, Beor is playing with his shadow.
