Maoy is when someone displays a bad temper. Like manghagis ka, muhilak nga manumbag sa bungbong and all of the above.

+Why did you choose BoyMaoy as your twitter handle?
Gipili ni nako nga Twitter Handle because simply ga maoy ko ato nga time. I was drunk and akong tupad sige ug twitter while hubog. So I got curious and ako gisuwayan ang Twitter.
(I chose this twitter handle because I was feeling maoy during that time time. I was drunk and the one beside me was twittering while being drunk. I got curious and tried Twitter)
+How did you start as a twitter icon? What motivated you to start the thematic approach to tweeting?
Supposed to be ang account for personal use. Pero since ganahan man ko mu share sa akong gi bati, ako nalang gi public ang account. Ang naka motivate nako ug sugod aning style sa tweet is first, beer kay ug mahubog ka maka tug-an man jud ka sa imong ganahan iingon straight from the belly and not from the heart. Second is the heartbreaks that I've been through for the past years. Long story short, gi byaan ko sa akong itoy. Wala na mubalik.
(This was supposed to be for personal use. But since I love to share my feelings, I decided to make my account public. What motivated me at first was beer—in our culture, we tend to tell the truth when drunk. Second are the heartbreaks that I’ve been through for the past years. To make the long story short, my puppy left me. And it never returned)
+What can you say about your followers?
I never considered them just as my followers, but as my cyber friends as well. Lami man gud kaayo ang feeling nga mu tweet ka and then naay daghan maka relate sa imong gi pang tweet. It's nice nga makahibaw ka nga positive ilang maingon sa akong gipangbuhat. Thank you cyber friends. (It’s a nice feeling when people can relate to what you tweet. It’s nice to know that there’s something positive that they can say about what I do. SO, thank you cyber friends!)
+Some would compare you to Sinugbang Sugbo. What makes you different?
Sinugbang Sugbo? There was never a comparison between the two of us. For me unique ming duha. He has tweets more on the funny side and I have tweets more on the love, maoy and emotional side. Whatever you want to call it. That's my opinion. (For me, Sinugbang Sugbo and I are unique. His tweets are funnier, mine are emotional.)
+Are your maoy quotes based on experience?
Particularly, yes. Not all of it but some gikan sa akong mama, papa, sa akong ate, sa akong lola, sa akong silingan, sa among security guard, sa among yaya, some gikan sa experiences sa akong mga migo ug miga because most of them share their experiences with me especially their relationships and I would really get ideas on unsaon nako pagtabang ug lambo ilang relationship and ug hatag sad ug mga solutions whenever naa silay mga problema. (Yes, but not all. Some are from my parents, my siblings, my grandparents, neighbors, security guard, househelp, friends. Basically those who share their experiences with me on relationships).
+Who is BoyMaoy in Cebu? Describe yourself.
Boy Maoy is your typical palahubog sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo. Dili pirmi, dili sad usahay. Almost tunga tunga lang ana. (I am your typical drunkard in Cebu. I don’t drink all the time, but I don’t drink sometimes. I am in the middle).

As a matter of fact, pure iSTORYAn ko. I usually visit the blog section, the Arts & Literature and Buy and Sell sections in the forums.
+Why twitter?
Because it's not crowded and wala pa naka register akong mama ug papa. (It’s not crowded and my parents are not registered yet!)

Nope. Akong ex naay facebook. (Nope. But my ex has!)

In the parallel world, naa koy girlfriend (In the parallel world, I have).

Basta ikaw ra ang mag maoy anang lugara, nindot jud na siya. (if you are the only maoy in that place, then it is a good place)

Anywhere and everywhere, basta't kasama ang barkada sa inuman. San Miguel ang sagot sa kahirapan. Makalimtan ang mga utang. (Anywhere and everywhere as long as you are with your friends. San Miguel is the answer to everything, you’ll forget about your debts).
+What is the objective of your tweets?
To tell the world how boring my life is and unsa akong itweet depending sa akong mood. And also to inspire and help people sa ilang mga gipang atubang karon. I can make them laugh and teach a lesson or two at the same time. (To tell the world how boring my life and what my mood is).
+What was the sweetest reply you had?
"Boy Maoy ikaw najud! Will you marry me?" After ana kay first time ko ni balibad ug proposal. (Boy Maoy, you already! Haha.. Will you marry me? That was the first time I rejected a proposal).
+How do Cebuanos fare from others in terms of being maoy?
Cebuanos are far more upgraded from others in terms of being maoy. Mag maoy man gani ang mga tao mukuyog jud sa barkada para mukalma or mangita ug gubot kay nangita ug sakit sa lawas. Diri ra ka sa Cebu makakita ug mag maoy nga mag sige pa ug Twitter. And also lots and lots of beer, I guess. Or ambot kalimot nako sa akong iingon. (Cebuanos are far more upgraded from others in terms of being maoy. When you feel like that, they always are with friends so that they can calm down or do whatever the want. It is only in Cebu that you can see someone maoy and tweets as the same time. And lots of beer, I guess. I forgot what I’m about to say. Hehe)
