SOLTI launches activewear

SOLTI launched its activewear line last June 9 with a press conference and fashion in Quest Hotel. Kymberly Maitland-Smith created this line to expand the range of SOLTI. The brand currently carries swimwear, sportswear, and resort wear.


SOLTI was inspired by Kym’s need for the right kind of fit and style for swimwear. Kym is a Cebu-based fashion blogger and designer. She is also a stylist and make-up artist. Her advocacies are aligned with being vegan and being a nature lover.

The addition of activewear to SOLTI complements the healthy lifestyle that Kym embodies. It can be worn by sports, dance, yoga, and vacation enthusiasts. As the brand stands for versatility, its pieces represent women of different sizes, preferences, ages, and occasions. You can wear SOLTI’s pieces as a part of a complete outfit. You can also style them for work, a casual day out or an evening event. Among its pieces are body suits and separates that can be worn one-way or reversible. They come in classic colors like black and white, and subdued earth tones. They also come in fun colors like bright neon hues.


SOLTI is a brand that is designed and hand-crafted in Cebu. It is a play on the words sol, which is Latin for sun, and salty, which is a word associated with the sea and with sweating. Since Kym said that she believes in respecting the beautiful planet we all call home, SOLTI stands by this advocacy. The brand believes in the three R’s—reduce, reuse and recycle. The materials that SOLTI uses are excess fabric from large manufacturers. This is to help reduce the need for landfill space. It also helps lessens pollution. Aside from the items, its packaging is also reusable.
