Cebu Parklane holds Rapid Active Shooter Incident Simulation

Cebu Parklane International Hotel carried out a Rapid Active Shooter Incident Simulation Exercise last April 2. The exercise lasted for two hours. This was organized in coordination with the Cebu City Risk Reduction and Disaster Management Office. The simulation was held to improve employee readiness in responding to critical emergency situations. In this case, the situation is when there is a rapid active shooter. Improving the hotel employees’ skills in this ultimately provides optimal safety for the guests.



The scenario presented during the simulation was an incident that occurred at a prestigious hotel. Temporary re-routing and No Entry points were in place to facilitate the simulation exercise. Multiple law enforcement units and emergency support services participated in the event, aiding to a successful RASI simulation. Five units of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) took part in the simulation. Such that, CCPO Station 2, CCPO-SWAT, CCPO-Operations, CCPO-Homicide, and CCPO-CSI were present at the scene. The Police Regional Office (PRO)-7, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), as well as the Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO), also participated. Barangay Kamputhaw—Responders and Barangay Lahug Alpha Source—Communications Team were also present. As for Cebu Parklane International Hotel, their CMT, ERT, and QRT participated in the simulation.
