On December 1, SM Seaside with SM Cinema, Disney Philippines, and the local Star Wars fan
club began their countdown to the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The atrium was filled
with official Star Wars merchandise and a Resistance kiosk for downloading mobile apps.
The event started with a Star Wars trivia game where guests won official Star Wars merchandise
from the SM Store and Toy Kingdom. SM Seaside Assistant Mall Manager Antonio Jaime Del
Prado welcomed guests.
Guests had the opportunity to take pictures with fans dressed up as notable characters from the
franchise. The trailer for the movie was played on screens around the area. The X-Wing, the
Rebel Alliance’s Starfighter, was also launched that night to the delight of revellers who went
onboard the ship, assisted by the Rebel Alliance crew, to take pictures inside. The life-size
installation will be displayed from December 1, 2017 to January 21, 2018.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will open in cinemas on December 13, 2017.
