The annual celebration showcases what makes Cebu the best destination to go to. It aims to provide a guide for everyone – both locals and tourists – the best places to dine & wine, new adventures to try and best services to enjoy.
After six months of careful selections and deliberations, SunStar Cebu awarded more than a hundred winners in different categories with a badge of excellence and seal of approval as THE BEST Cebu has to offer for 2016. They also added new categories to make this year different from the previous years, awards like Restaurant of the Year, People’s Choice category (readers cast their votes online), Cebuano’s favorites and the “Grand Slam winners.”

“Cebu is a melting pot of different cultures, different people. It’s also where you can find the better things in life all over the world.” Shares Julius “JayJay” Neri, Jr., SunStar President & General Manager.
SunStar Cebu started this annual event with a goal in mind to come up with a yearend list to recognize excellence and to celebrate the best that Cebu has to offer from gastronomic feasts, entertainment to lifestyle choices.
As early as now, SunStar Cebu is starting to make a new list for Best of Cebu 2017 and they need your help by sharing your bets of those you think deserve a spot for next year. Let them know through weekend@sunstar.com.ph or tag your photos in social media with hashtag #bestofcebu2017.
“Isn’t this what the Best of Cebu intended all along, to encourage all of us to level up and become the best version of ourselves?” says Noel S. Villaflor, SunStar Weekend editor.
