• The Sleeping Beauty Ballet

"The Sleeping Beauty" ballet, one of the most spectacular achievements in the history of ballet, an extraordinary, dynamic work, with incomparable music by the master Tchaikovsky, and coupled with inspired choreography by another master, Marius Petipa, is meant for all audiences to enjoy.

As the ballet begins, baby Princess Aurora is being christened. The evil Carbosse storms in and curses the baby, as her invitation to the event has been overlooked. The curse states that on her 16th birthday, the princess will prick her finger and die. However, the Lilac Fairy weakens the curse. She proclaims that instead of dying, Princess Aurora will fall into a deep sleep for 100 years. She will then be awakened by the kiss of a handsome prince.

Part of the cast for the upcoming The Sleeping Beauty - Giselle Abalos, Monica Villarica, Sabrina Ruth Bogard, Megan Marie Chan, and Kristin Aldana-Lerin

During Aurora's 16th birthday party, a mysterious guest (the evil Carbosse) offers her a gift - a lovely spindle. Aurora pricks her finger with it and she falls into a deep sleep along with her court.

A hundred years later, the Lilac Fairy produces a vision of Aurora which Prince Florimund notices while hunting. The Prince is led to the castle, where he battles the evil Carbosse. After the battle, he kisses the sleeping Princess, upon which everyone wakes up. A beautiful and joyous wedding ceremony follows.

Princess Aurora is performed by Sabrina Ruth Bogard and Prince Florimund is Paul Jayson Austria while the evil witch Carbosse is alternately played by Penelop Ong and Kristin Aldana-Lerin. Megan Marie Chan and Giselle Abalos will alternate playing the Lilac Fairy.
