Fall 2016 Theme 1 – THE LAKE DISTRICT
The fluid and organic silhouettes are elements taken from the nature walk at the Lake District in England, channeling the soft structure and symmetric designs inspired by mountains, plants, rocks and the lake.
Silhouettes range from lean and long, wrapped, knotted and draped to fluid and asymmetric designs. Inspired by nature, the collection makes use of floral, texture and lace for its fabric and pattern.
It is tranquil, romantic and poetic.
Fall 2016 Theme 2 – BECAUSE THE NIGHT
The style is influenced by the poetic rock singer Patti Smith in the ‘70s.
Patti Smith’s debut record “Horses” has to be one of the most iconic album covers of all time with a photo of her in what can be interpreted as either an approachable or adamant pose wearing a men’s shirt and braces with a jacket slung over her shoulder James Dean-style.
Fusing poetry with rock and roll, Patti’s sense of style has always been as wild and androgynous as her music. As a front woman, she is untamed, her songs thinly-veiled spoken word performances, pieces that are intense and demanding of attention. In fashion, she also found an affinity with masculinity. Breton stripes, turtlenecks, scraggly coats, utilitarian boots, jeans, leather motorcycle jackets, and, of course, her signature button-up shirts have all become emblematic of her style.
Drawing inspiration from Patti’s style, silhouettes in this collection range from skinny versus boyfriend, structured versus unstructured to cigarette pants. Its fabric and pattern include leopard prints, faux leather, denim, stiff lace, textural prints, metal accessories, and satin-like and suit materials.
G2000 MEN
This fall, G2000 takes its inspiration from the peaceful tranquility of the Mega City’s sophisticated environment during the misty night-fall and the emerging break of dawn.
The foggy night lights of the metropolis create a soothing mood with a cool color palette of navy, deep reds and mauve, while the simplicity of the buildings and architecture inspire with clean and minimal silhouettes. The textures of the city inspired the fabrication of different mélanges in both woven & knits, basket weaves, slubsand other fabric with sophisticated surface textures and interests.
