A ceremonial cutting of the ribbon formally launched its 6,500 square meter showroom, the largest in the entire Hyundai dealer network in the country to date. Opening new possibilities were Hyundai Motor Company Asia & Pacific Team General Manager Je Sog Ryu with Assistant Manager Claire Chae, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. Trade and Development Cluster Senior Vice President Jun Cortez, Hyundai Cebu, Inc. Treasurer Margarita Onglatco, Cebu City Acting Mayor Margot Osmeña, Cebu City Mayor-elect Tomas Osmeña, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, Chairman of the Board Edward Go, Chief Finance Officer Ladis Avila Jr., and Hyundai Cebu President and CEO Edward Onglatco. Hyundai’s top customers and guests as well as dealers from all over the country were treated to festivities which included drumbeaters and a showcase of Cebuano culture through a Sinulog dance, capped off by a surprise number from Brazilian actress and model Daiana Menezes who entertained the crowd with her songs and charm.
Hyundai South Cebu President and CEO Edward Onglatco saw how rapidly the Cebu automotive market exponentially grew over the past decade and a half. With the continuously growing local economy and bustling city life, the automotive market showed no signs of slowing down. “We knew then that we had to be the first to provide industry-leading, world-class, environment—friendly, and customer-centric facilities to our clients and potential clients on this side of Cebu.
