• A guilt-free Filipino menu from Salinas Restaurant

A refreshingly Filipino dining experience, Salinas is a Golden Cowrie concept restaurant where classic recipes meet modern execution. This is made evident in its extensive menu of reinvented timeless dishes such as the Pocherong Katag, Pinaupong Manok, Crispig’s Ears, Buwad and Aligue on Red Rice, all of which have been getting rave reviews from diners since it opened late last year.

Aside from offerings inspired by the finer tastes of life, Director of Product Development Kristine de la Riva-Kokseng wanted Salinas to be an all-inclusive restaurant for groups and families that have varied personal preferences. “When we were creating Salinas, we wanted to not only highlight the rich flavors of the archipelago but also offer healthier alternatives without compromising on taste. We envisioned Salinas to become a restaurant for discerning palates that include those with special dietary requirements and created dishes with the different types of diners in mind who seek to find a common ground when choosing where to eat. That is why we came up with a vegetarian friendly selection that is just as well thought of, exciting and flavorful as everything else on the menu. ”

Here is a selection of guilt-free must-tries from Salinas that will delight both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike, which Salinas conceptualized in collaboration with Cebu’s “Lazy Chef” Chip Lopez:

      Vegetarian Sisig
The all-time favorite pulutan is made lighter with the restaurant’s Vegetarian sisig. The dish itself is packed with flavor that completely satisfies ones penchant for the Filiipino favorite—minus the meat.

      Bloodless Dinuguan
Another classic that has been reinvented is the dinuguan. Salinas’ version of the pork blood stew is surprisingly, yet delightfully tongue in cheek, bloodless. The dish is made of tofu with the Salinas’ secret sauce of pureed vegetables that gives off the classic dinuguan’s tangy yet savory experience.

      Green Mango and Papaya Salad
For a lighter meal, one can opt for a salad with all-time fruit favorites of green mango and papaya combined with with camote tops, tossed in watermelon vinaigrette and cashew nuts.

      Eggplant Sandwich
Crunchy on the outside, savory on the inside, and nutritious all over served with camote chips and salad on the side.

Satisfy your cravings for refreshingly Filipino dishes while maintaining a healthy lifestyle at Salinas restaurant located beside Golden Cowrie along Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu City.
