Swirl the cup to cool down the sikwate before taking a sip
It was an enlightening afternoon as Sarah, Shangri-la's Chocolate Sommelier, explained the intricacies of how a sikwate should be prepared and how to appreciate it to fully taste the flavors of the cacao. Aside from learning more about chocolates, we had a taste of the special cocktails that were only available that afternoon. The drinks were named after the designers, Arcy & Philip. The Arcy cocktail is a fresh, light and fizzy gin-based mix, has raspberry purée, basil and rosemary, topped with lemonade, it had a hint of sweetness because of the raspberry which embodies the "alimyon" inspiration while the Philip cocktail is a full-bodied concoction made with whiskey, orange bourbon, sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, whiskey foam, sprinkles of chocolate, star anise and cinnamon.

The couture pieces will be on display at the resort’s Events Center and the entire season will culminate with a grand finale on Aug. 31, 2016.*
