Beer and bikes inspired Michael Nikkel to create Turning Wheels Craft Brewery. The name came about because of Nikkel's passion for cycling and how he can relate beer to it. Many cyclists love to indulge in good beer after a strenuous ride, treating themselves to one (or five) after achieving their goals on their bikes.
Nikkel, after working as a Respiratory Therapist for over 8 years in Los Angeles, California decided to become a full-time homebrewer. He moved to Cebu in 2013. Nikkel brewed a couple of batches of beer to start with, and they were, almost drinkable. After a few batches being brewed through extensive research and development, the beer began taking a significant turn for the better. Flavors became more pronounced, beers became true to their intended style and people who knew the product started enjoying them.
Turning Wheels offers seven varieties of Craft Beers and has raised the country's drinking pleasure to new heights. Their beers are now being served in 10 great Craft Beer centric accounts all over the Philippines and is earning a reputation for itself.
The quality of its beer continues to improve as Nikkel continues learning new techniques with each and every enjoyable brew day.
