The word Khana means a lot of things depending on the usage of the word. Khana, in this context, means feast. Marco Polo Plaza Cebu's Cafe Marco has a delicious selection of Indian dishes included in the international buffet both for lunch and dinner starting from November 7 to 15, 2015. From appetizers to main courses, up to the dessert, savor the flavors of India and indulge your taste buds.
According to Indian Embassy First Secretary of Commercial and Education Narayanan Ramakrishnan, the taste of Indian food depends on certain factors like, geography, caste, history, soil, and culture. It is normal for different regions to have different tastes but amidst all the said factors, the presence of the common spices (chili, turmeric, peppercorn, coriander, cinnamon, and cardamom) serve as the core of the dishes. Indian cuisine is an interplay of spices, Ramakrishnan further added.
KHANA is proudly whipped up by Marco Polo Plaza Cebu’s Culinary Team under the supervision of Ms. Judeline Murjani. For Murjani, cooking is an art and she does it with passion and fervor. Growing up in a household that has introduced her to good food, and chili has made her encounter with Indian food easy. Being married to an Indian national for 31 years has given her an ample and rich background on the preparation and cooking of Indian food.
Must try dishes to lead your appetite: palak paneer (a spinach and cheese dish), vegetable samosa, prawn biryani, prawn kebab, pair the dal mahkni with either a nan, roti, chapati or a papadum.
