CDRKING WIRELESS ROUTER....

Mga bro,

Naa lang ko question kinsa nakasuway sa CDRKING na wireless router na gamit para sa laptop, ug mga PDA or PALM devices... used as WIFI Home use..

Coz im planning unta to buy pero im not sure if ok ba siya sa ako SMARTBRO then ako mga wifi devices like laptop, PDA phone, P990i and my PALM Pocket PC.

Wala ko kasulay pero I think all wifi's are compatible and can connect to each other.
Just use insfrastructure mode to connect via router. Ad-hoc mode is peer-to-peer only.

But if you are using bittorrent, it is not advisable. Most cheap routers chokes on multiple connections coming at the same time.
I have also a wireless router at home. A linksys WRT54G. I upgraded the vxworks firmware to linux (ddwrt) because it hanged-up during my bt downloads.

I am not sure of the CDR-king router can also be upgraded to ddwrt.

You could also use bluetooth as your internet connection if your palm have one.
Just buy a bluetooth dongle (much cheaper) and connect to your PC. But this needs the PC to be ON always when you are browsing via PDA.

BTW, you could also hotsync wirelessly (Wifi and bluetooth) or copy files from your PC.

kung mag torrent ka... make sure lang nga tarong nimo setup imo port forwarding
make sure lang bai nga naa xxx.xx b/g imo device (X lang nako kay naka limot ko sa number diha hehehe)

nakaset-up ko ani bro sa balay sa istoryan ra sad. it works fine. wala lang cd installer for easy access software unlike branded wireless routers.

How mich is the crdking wireless router? I dont find them on their website.
